The Love between a Boy and his Blender

You know how when we are little we always seemed to find the one thing that comforted us? For most of us, we have evidence of a once "use to be" blanket that we dragged around with us everywhere we went. I am sure it was covered in dirt, drool, food, and who knows what else! I myself had one of those blankets. It may have smelled funny, but it made me feel good! Some of us might have had that special Teddy Bear or doll that we just HAD to take with us. It was always our playmate. If we were playing with something else, that "special" toy, was always right there by our side because it seems to be connected with us, and just makes us feel better knowing it is there.
SJ has a connection. No it is not with a blanket or his favorite stuffed animal. This boy has made a connection with a blender. It was discovered one day at Grandma's house. It has been his "comfort" ever since. It had to go along with him when he left Grandma's house. He is entertained for hours by this thing. Sometimes it is a blender, and he actually stirs things with it, once he decides to put the beaters back in after the adventure of removing them, and sticking them back in the hole hundreds of times. Other times it is some kind of animal he drags around. No matter what he decides it is going to be, it is always his friend. The Boy and his Proctor & Silex Blender. Will there ever be a greater love? Evidence below shows it is not likely.

Thanks april for highlighting my boy in your blog! I think it is so funny that he carries it around but it is no suprise at all. leah is always baking cookies or whipping up some banana bread and the mixer is her weapon of choice. When he is not playing the mixer he is begging for a clorox wipe or the swiffer duster!! Once again...because he mommy always has one of those in her hands!!

That is sooo cute, our family is just the average binki family. The heat is a killer right now isn't it, this is the hardest time of year for me too. If you want to cool down a little come visit Sierra Vista we are usually 15 degrees lower than Phoenix.
