Seattle Trip!

Mt. Rainier. This nice man saw this view from his window on the airplane and snapped this shot for me!
The Allred Girls. I love these girls! They made me all up for my date on Friday.
All the "boot" girls. We all were high fashion boot wearers on Sunday
The view from the deck of the boat
Our boat we took that gave us beautiful views of the city
Public Market. What a cool place with a lot of very interesting people!
Seattle Skyline from our boat

Top of the Space Needle. The wind was blowing so hard!

So I took a lovely trip to Seattle a few weeks ago. I have never been up north and it was so amazing! I loved seeing the Space Needle and just being in that city was such an amazing feeling!
I went with my sister and we stayed with our fabulous friends the Allred's! Juleen and Tyler are two fabulous people that we set up on a date. They have four awesome kids that we had so much fun with! I can't wait to go back! It felt so good to be on that nice cool, rainy weather after being in the HOT Arizona sun!
Next stop......Oregon!

And yes, for all of my like 5 readers, I will be better about posts. Sometimes you just have to be in the mood!

Lots and Lots of Info

Keep reading! There are 3 posts I added today with lots and lots of pictures. I pretty much added my whole summer all at once! I guess I was too busy playing, and no time for computers. Oh what a summer I had. So sit down, hold on tight, and enjoy the summer adventures of April

Camron's Baby Blessing

The blessing Crew

This is how excited Evan is to be a Dad again! ;) hahahaha.... What a great weekend! To be able to be there for the blessing of this special little spirit was more than words could ever describe. It was such a beautiful blessing. The Spirit was so strong, and I tell ya what, that little guy is something special. There is such a good feeling in the Evan Johnson househould. Camron has some great brothers and sisters as examples. He also has great parents that love him so much. It was just so nice being there with my family. We are soon saying goodbye to Spencer for a while as he goes into officers training, so it was nice to be there with his family before they leave for their new adventure.

The girls!
Me and Jordi. Every time we tried to get a picture, she turned away! Oh well, she is still adorable.

One of the first things I did this summer was had my Daddeo come out to visit me in June. We decided on Saturday we were going to escape the heat and head to the White Mountains to Alpine AZ where our relative Jacob Hamblin is burried. It was a long, fun, relaxing drive. We visited the cemetary, stopped and ate at Bear Wallow Cafe, ....well before we ate, we drove about 30 min into the mountains passing the town not reazling we had done so! We were low on gas, and Dad was all worried we would run out. I did not fear! We made our way back to town and were safe and sound. We had a long drive back, but it was so beautiful. I am glad my Dad was able to go see that cemetary and enjoy the scenery. We also got some Arizona Johnson's together. Terry Lynn, my Dad's niece, came up with her kids to the Martinsen's home and had a little party. We tried to get Tommy and Onica as well, but we know who loves my Dad the most! hahaha. It was fun getting to know her better and her kids.

Hanging out at the Martinsen's. Everyone loves Uncle Geenie Weenie!
I love this picture of my Dad. This was on our long adventure. We stopped at a beautiful place called Greer.
Enjoying Icecream at Alpine. Icecream tastes better eating it with your Daddy!
Dad at Jacob Hamblin's grave. I believe it is his great great uncle.
My Dad at the 26 Bar Ranch. My Dad and I are both big fans of John Wayne, so I had to take him to the ranch he once owned in Eager, AZ.
It was so nice spending time with my Dad and having that one on one time with him.

Maria came up to visit me when I came home from Bear Lake. We hung out on Friday and then on Saturday went on adventure to Sedona, AZ. The scenery was gorgeous, but that town is WEIRD!!! On the way we stopped at Montezuma's Castle.......5 bucks I could have saved...but at least I can I went there.
Before our hike through the river....

After our hike through the river.....

Me and Maria. Thanks Jamie for taking such a good picture.

Beautiful surroundings
Maria getting the most out of 5 dollars we spent to get on the .8 long pathway to see the castle.

videoMaria and I went to Organ Stop Pizza in Mesa. Such a fun place! The guy plays fun songs on the organ while you eat good pizza!

Two of the highlights from my summer has been going to Denver for the 4th of July and then the following week spending the weekend at Bear Lake with Josh's family. The 4th of July with Evan and Tami and the kids was a blast! We went swimming, and went to a bombed out fireworks show! Good thing we had a back up with their community fireworks the next day. We also went downtown Denver and played "tourists" Abbey, Amelia and Josh even landed some tickets to go check out the US Mint. Josh and his Iphone can perform miracles~!
Bear Lake was simply beautiful, amazing, relaxing and wonderful. I had so much fun getting to know Josh's family better and hanging out with his nieces and nephews. He has great parents, brothers and sisters and in laws that all made me feel so welcome. We spent every day playing in the water, building sand castles and enjoying beautiful sunsets. The part of the trip that will probably always be etched in my memory is as Josh and I were leaving Bear Lake to head back to AZ, my AC decided to call it quits. It was a Sunday, so nothing was open. As we pulled into the valley 10 hours later, at 9:30 it was still 100 degrees. I am so grateful I am not a pioneer!
This is Lucy Josh's niece. I love this girl!
This is Charlie, Josh's nephew. He understood my sense of humor, and never took me serious. I would say something to him, and he would reply back with ..."April, I know you are teasing me!"
The view from Josh's parents house. You could see the whole lake. I wish I was able to put some of the pictures Josh had on his camera, but they are on a disc and my computer doesn't like reading those now days.
The kids would spend hours playing in the sand. I even got them to bury each other just like my family did when we went to Bear Lake.
Josh and I on July 4th in Denver, CO

Little Camron getting ready for his debut. He is such a strong little boy.
Downtown Denver. Abby and Amelia eating their yummy chocolate
Tami, Abby and Meza getting ready to meet Dad for lunch
Me and my cute nieces on July 4th
Since the firework show was canceled, Evan put on a show for us!
I found out some of my best friends were in Denver...Troy and Camie Williams with their new little Sawyer! It was so good to see them! Love them!

I use to be so good at this! My journal entries all start with..."It has been a while" and so I find myself writing the same thing here on my lovely blog. When you have a lot to share with everyone, it usually means you are busy doing stuff and don't have time to sit at a computer! That has been my summer and I am so glad I can say I did not have time to do much, so you all are getting it after the fact. I will be posting a few over the next few days to catch up for the three people that might actually read this.

In the mean time, it has been just a little hot down here........ It is hotter than..... umm how about it is so hot..... wait..let me go google that and find something.....Got it! "It is so hot outside, I have been baking cookies in my car!" I have also learned how to drive with two fingers. A few weeks ago my A/C went out in my car, and that was no fun at all. I really do not know how the pioneers of this valley survived. Good thing I spent a lot of time in cooler places this past month. I seriously think I have even fried my nosehairs from breathing in 130 degrees. Ok ok so 114...what's the difference!
April's summer adventures of escaping the AZ heat coming soon!

Jordi turns the big ONE!

Yeah, I am a terrible Auntie! I completely forgot it was my little nieces birthday! I really had not even had the thought enter my mind because in my head there is no way she has been around for a year!
This little girl has a smile that makes your heart melt like icecream on hot day in AZ! She is such a little cuddler which makes it all the better. She is such a happy little girl. Probably because she knows who she is and has Daddy wrapped around her finger! She is all girl, yet I am pretty sure she will be able to hold her own with her big brother.
You are an angel Jordi! I love you and can't wait to see you next week!
